What are endowments?  Endowment are an investment fund in which the final returns are intended for a particular purpose.

Church of Christ the King Endowment Funds are permanent, irrevocable funds and are created exclusively for the purpose of soliciting, collecting, accepting and investing for the production or growth of income or both, which may be added to the principal or expended for the benefit of programs offered by the parish corporation.

Christ the King has four endowment funds  that qualify you to take advantage of the 40% ND State Tax Credit (ND Century Code 57-38-01.21) for donations of $5000+.  You receive a 40% state tax credit, so your $5000 donation costs you only $3,000 with the tax credit alone before you consider the charitable tax deduction savings.
